Hailing from Boston, Jimmy wasn’t afraid to brag about his New England roots or younger brother Kevin, who plays for the Flyers. Along with Uppy and Obs, Broadway loved the locker room banter and was known for logging extra hours sitting in his stall. He loved his hip hop music but may have enjoyed a Red Bull even more. Hayes played in 334 NHL tilts with about 100 healthy scratches, so you do the math. Off the ice, there were few players in the league that had more fun with their teammates. Jimmy is survived by his wife Kristen, sons Beau and Mac, sisters Genevieve, Eileen, and Justine, brother Kevin, and parents Shelagh and Kevin Sr.

In August of 2021 Missin Curfew lost a line mate, friend, and integral part of the family with the passing of Jimmy “Broadway” Hayes.  Broadway was a founding member of the show alongside Obie and Uppy. He was known for his sports betting analysis and picks each week, known as the “Parlay Café.” He coined the phrase, “Bar Mexico,” on the show, which he loved to drop any chance he got. Known as “Broadway” during his playing career, he quickly adopted a new nickname on the show, “Scoopsy.” Hayes loved to use his resources in locker rooms around the league to predict and announce trades and deals happening in the NHL. His smile and laugh radiated through the airwaves, making him a fan favorite to the Missin Curfew community.
